24 Year Old Nigerian Roland Thomas Appointed As Coach Of Polish First Division Side LKS Lodz

Polish first division side LKS Lodz has confirmed the hiring of a new technical crew for their senior team with coach Wojciech Stawowy installed as head coach while 24 year old Nigerian Roland Thomas will act as his assistant, the club revealed on their website.

Thomas who is the youngest in Europe to hold a UEFA A license when he bagged the honour two years ago worked as coach at Escoli Varsovia where Stawowy was sporting director. They will continue their working relationship at LKS Lodz.

54 year old Stawowy replaced Kazimierz Moskal who was sacked on Saturday. The terms of his deal will see him handle the team as coach till the summer of 2024 assuming results on the pitch match expectations.

Little known Thomas will play the role of assistant to the vastly experienced Stawowy with many already hinting that he is learning the ropes ahead of a potential job at a top division side after stints as U15 and first team coach of Warsaw.

He is the son of Ayodele Thomas, a Nigerian based in the South West region of the country who is currently the head of a sport management agency called TopPro Management Limited.
